Data Collected

CARE collects and processes the following data:

• Account info (email, name) — at signup
• Profile info (age, avatar, phone — optional)
• Location data (GPS speed + coordinates) — only for walking detection, not stored long-term
• Walking events (time, duration, speed, step count, location) — kept for statistics
• Device push token — for notifications

Purposes

Data is processed for:

• Detecting walking and blurring the screen
• Parents viewing child statistics
• Emergency notification systems
• Improving service quality

Data Sharing

Child data is shared ONLY with linked family members (parents). NO sales to third parties. NO sharing with ad partners.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

• Supabase (database, hosting) — Frankfurt, Germany
• Apple Push Notification Service / Google FCM (notifications)
• Expo (app distribution)
• Vercel (website hosting)

User Rights (GDPR / KVKK)

You have the following rights:

• Request access to your data
• Request correction
• Request deletion (via Account → Delete in the app)
• Object to processing
• Data portability

To exercise these rights, write to support@carekid.org. We respond within 30 days.

Children's Data (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Accounts for children under 13 can only be opened with parental consent, granted via the pairing code. The child's data can be deleted at any time on parental request.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensure each user only accesses their own data. Passwords are one-way hashed.

Changes

If this policy changes, it will be announced here. You will also be notified in the app.
